ENZO BERETTA confronts the ideas and philosophies which for the last century has exalted photography and tackles the aesthetics of formalism in photojournalism and photo pictorialism by proceeding to shed new light and constructive involvement to propose a new vision for the critical enterprise of Modernism.

Even when dealing with paradoxical situations, Enzo’s photographic vision and prose is exceedingly precise and inviting in a syncopated style. It’s pure unadulterated photography between his skills and his camera. More than anything else however, his work and vision breathes real life into the intellectual understanding of contemporary photography as well as the work its self.

He pushes his skill and equipment to the limit to capture movement in ways that were previously thought impossible. In his own words, “its a moment in time, and life in motion as I see it. I call it syncopated movement, but some call it the enzo effect.”

His discontent with the trend of most images altered in post-production lead to his vision in 2007 and this new style of work that unquestionably sets a new standard and raises the bar for creative photography. Although an established digital imaging specialist and expert with book published credits, no retouching or alteration has been done on any of his images other then overall sharpening and basic corrections to enhance image impact and contrast. With most images intentionally left as shot, uncroped and with no selective corrections or manipulations, he hopes to bring people back to appreciate visual integrity.
